
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
The training event is organized to provide teachers with
concrete tips on how to get started using mobile apps and Google tools, provide
teachers with a clear understanding of key concepts around new teaching and
learning approaches, make teachers reflect on their own teaching practice,
inspire teachers to try something concrete and new in their classroom, enable
teachers to share their own ideas on using these tools and apps and support
each other. There are included 3 teachers from each country and cca 100 students and teachers from
hosting school who alternate during all days of program. The meeting takes 5
working days.
02.12.2019- visiting of school, culture program prepared by
students of Turkish school- traditional dance and songs, teachers meeting-
dealing with teachers responsibilities during the first year of project,
students´responsibilities before attending LTTAs- creation of video- in PT I -
School and it’s life, in SK- Free time activities, in RU- Habits, in IT-
Culture … context and processing depends on partners, next steps was age of
students (12-15), hosting in families, bacis details at LTTA in PT, setting
rules for creation of project logo, setting eTwinning platform
Culture events- visiting of Miniaturk, Ortakoy Mosque and
Ortakoy Square
03.12.2019- visiting the school- classrooms,
teachers´meeting. The first session at Google apps (Google formulas- quiyes
creation, tests, Mobile apps- bitstrips- motion portait, finger app for
android, Autorap, Lego movie maker), visiting Turkish lesson to see apps in
parctice, visiting of Large Camlica Hill, Space Bazaar 04.12.2019- visiting of
Galata Tower, tour at the Bosphorus, the Grand Bazaar 05.12.2019-
teachers´meeting at school- the second session at Google apps (Viva video-
alternative of Lego Movie Maker, HP reveal, Aurasma app, Turkish Eba system)-
visiting of lesson with using app in practice, visiting the Topkapi Palace,
Hagia Sofia Museum, Sultahmet Mosque 06.12.2019- visiting of Pierre Loti Hill,
Eyup Sultan Mosque, Ceremony of Certificates.
HOW DID THE PARTICIPATION IN THIS
ACTIVITY BENEFIT THE INVOLVED PARTICIPANTS?
Results of the week consist of presentations of schools,
analysis of the current use of mobile apps and tools in each school, feedback
forms of participants, evaluation sheets, certificates, workshop materials,
pictures etc. The project activities are integrated in the school timetable.
Participants benefit from the activities
by acquiring knowledge and develop competence related to mobile apps and web
tools for classroom use, by analysing the approaches to technology in the
partner countries. They practise the use of the tools they learn about and are
therefore more prepared to apply them in their classroom. They improve their communication
and interpersonal skills. They will gain experience in organising an
international event, thus becoming moreprepared for future exchanges. They
observe good practices in the school which they can transfer into their own
schools. They learn about the Turkish culture and traditions, lifestyle and
habits and develop cultural awareness and intercultural competence. They
improve their communication and data manipulation, analysis and synthesis
skills, English language skills by attending workshops, giving presentations,
taking notes,communicating face to face. In this way, they boost
self-confidence in a multicultural context.
